Wheel of Time- The four Pillars

The Four Pillars- Rumors
Chapter 1- The Dragon

Gossip and rumours are floating in every city and town about the changes that are occuring since the announcement of the re-birth of the Dragon.

There’s a new order in Tear and some think that there will finally be one King instead of the High Lords to rule there. That might be why several of the High Lords have left the Stone, claiming that the Dragon is not a High Lord, nor King of Tear and is not fit to rule. They are rumoured to be building an army, but no one knows yet where it is gathering. Lady Zarine Bashere and Lord al’Lan Mandragoran have not issued any word concerning the rebels, dealing with state visitors thought to be Lord Bashere and his wife.

Both Andor and Carhien are still reeling over the loss of Aringil. King Galldrien of Carhien, still trying to rebuild after the Aiel War, blames Darkfriends and is re-doubling his efforts to locate Darkfriends in Carhien. Lord Gaebril, the new advisor to Queen Morgase of Andor, has issued a proclamation on her behalf that the Dragon is henceforth banned from the realm of Andor.

Tar Valon is in turmoil as there are rumours that Siuan Sanche, the Watcher of the Seals, the Amyrlin Seat has been deposed. There has been no announcement of who has been raised to the Amyrlin Seat as of yet, nor has there been an announcement of when Siuan’s public trial and birching prior to her stilling would be.

There is still no word from the Almoth Plain and Falme, though there are some rumours of Whitecloak troops being seen in the area.

The world seems balanced on a knife edge waiting for the announcement of the other 3 Reborn and to see what affect they will have on the world…

Chapter 2- The Griffon

“The stone that never falls will fall to announce his coming. Of the blood, but not raised by the blood, he will come from Rhuidean at dawn and tie you together with bonds you cannot break. He will take you back, and he will destroy you.” – Narisse Aes Sedai to Mandein of the Jenn Aiel.

The Aiel have come over the Dragonwall for the first time since the end of the Aiel War. They come seeking their car’a’carn ot Chief of Chiefs. They aided in the taking of the Stone of Tear, the first part of their prophecy in the discovery of the car’a’carn. Beleiving the Dragon Reborn to be this figure, they escort him and his party back to the Aiel Waste. They are met by a delegation of seven Aes Sedai on the way who also accompany them to the Waste.

The Dragon goes to Rhuidean, but the Tinker, Ila, enters the ter’angreal before him and exits with two Dragon-like tatoos encircling her arms. Is it possible that this Lost One is actually the car’a’carn? Many do not believe, such as the Shaido, and they claim that their new chief, Couladin, is truly the car’a’carn. The Wise Ones and Clan Cheifs discuss and declare that Ila has walked through the ter’angreal and thus is the true car’a’carn.

As Ila tells everyone the true history of the Aiel, many begin to question their way of life. Couladin is killed for trying to attack Ila. The Bleakness begins to spread to the various clans assembled at Alcair Dal. Has Ila truly broken the Aiel? What other secrets lie hidden in the sands…

Chapter 1- The Dragon

“He is born again! I feel him! The Dragon takes his first breath! He is coming! He is coming! Light help us! Light help the world! He lies in the snow and cries like the thunder! He burns like the sun!”—Gitara Moroso

The rebirth of the Dragon has been foretold to be the first sign of the Final Battle. He will bring about the winds of change. He and the other three Pillars will preapre the world for Tarmon Gai’don. Many of the prophecies concerning the Pillars are conflicting to who will do what. The names of the Four have been used interchangeably, depending on the author. Few things are certain, though, and one of those is that the Dragon is said to bring change.

The change has begun since the announcement of the Dragon’s rebirth at Falme. After the battle, Fedric Persor was seen in the sky fighting against Ishamael and a woman’s voice saying “Behold! The Dragon has been reborn!” Many people have taken this to mean that they should give up what they were doing with their lives to follow the Dragon. Many of these people are being lead by a man claiming to be the Prophet of the Dragon. Others are beginning to form groups and turn quickly to banditry.

The Dragon is said to have taken the sword, callandor, in Tear and have gone to the Aiel Waste. No more has been heard from him and the people who claim to follow him descend into chaos…
