Wheel of Time- The four Pillars
ABILITIES AND CHANNELERS
Different channelers use different abilities to determine the extent of their ability to cast weaves. Initiates use Intelligence and Wisdom, while Wilders use Wisdom and Charisma.
Having a high ability score benefits the channeler in two ways. First, a channeler must have a sufficiently high score to cast certain weaves–an initiate must have an Intelligence of at least 10 + the weaves level, whereas a Wilder needs a Wisdom score of 10 + the weaves level (this includes over channeling, if you wish to over channel a 12 level weave you must have a ability score of 22 in the appropriate ability). Second high abilities scores grant the channeler bonus weaves as given in Table 1-1 (note that you do not get bonus weaves that are higher than what tyou are capable of casting at your level for example a second level character only receives the benefits of their 1st level weaves). Third high ability scores make the effects of weaves harder to resist. An initiate add her Wisdom modifier to the DC’s on any weaves she casts, while a Wilder adds his charisma modifier. Male channelers also have additional rules associtated with them.

ABILITIES AND ALL OTHER CLASSES
Channeling classes are the only classes that treat the ability bonus differently from their counterparts in Pathfinder. All other classes benefit normally from ability score bonuses.
